Processing Time

  • READY TO SHIP ITEMS: Pieces that are marked RTS will be shipped out within 1-3 days after order.

  • MADE TO ORDER ITEMS: We hand make each MTO item with intention from scratch in our home studio. This means that it can take 1-3 weeks to complete your order, then prepare it for shipping. Be aware of this when planning your order timeline & feel free to email us for the current turnaround time.

  • CUSTOM ORDERED ITEMS: Custom pieces are extra special, therefore we require ample time to compete them. To design & create a custom piece the processing time is 3-6 weeks. For a bulk custom order the processing time can be up to 8 weeks. Send us an email & we can discuss an appropriate timeline.

  • GIFT WRAP: We do have gift wrapping available. For a small additional charge, we’ll wrap your jewelry in neutral paper, tie it with leather cord & decorate it with beautiful hand pressed flowers. We’ll even include a blank card, so you don’t have to run out and grab one.

Estimates Shipping Times

  • You can choose a variety of shipping options from our Etsy store during checkout.

  • Custom orders are always shipped using USPS and the standard rates apply. $50 worth of insurance is automatically applied, but more can be added upon request.

  • Once shipped, you will receive a email with tracking information via ETSY or USPS.

  • PLEASE NOTE: After the item leaves our studio & enters the postal system, it becomes your responsibility. However, if your item was damaged during the shipping process, please contact us immediately so we can remedy it.

  • STANDARD: 3-5 business days
    PRIORITY MAIL: 2-3 business days
    EXPRESS: 1-2 business days

For orders placed outside of Etsy, we accept:

  • All major credit cards

  • Paypal

  • Checks (which will be immediately deposited via our mobile bank app)

  • Cash & Venmo is accepted for in-person transactions

In some instances, we do offer payment plans on higher priced items. This is offered on a case by case basis, so send us an email BEFORE placing your order to discuss it.


Returns & Exchanges

Due to the nature of our small business, we DO NOT accept returns or cancellations but we DO accept exchanges for store credit. Credit can not be used towards a custom order.

  • Must contact me within: 3 days of delivery

  • Ship items back within: 7 days of delivery

CONDITIONS OF RETURN: Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Please be sure to ship item back safely by placing it in a box & using a bubble mailing envelope.

How to Prevent Tarnish on Sterling Silver:

  • Store clean, dry sterling silver in a dry airtight container, like a ziplock bag.

  • An anti-tarnish strip placed with the silver jewelry in a ziplock bag will also help fight against tarnish.

  • Don’t leave silver jewelry in the bathroom. Humidity can speed up the oxidation process that produces tarnish.

  • Wearing jewelry during physical activities can expose the metal to unwanted moisture and can accidentally scratch or misshape the jewelry in the process. Be mindful & take it off before doing sports, hot yoga, weight lighting, gardening, or any other strenuous movements.

  • Minimize sterling silver’s contact to chemicals (hairspray, perfume, body lotion, bleach, etc.) and do not wear it while washing dishes, taking a shower, or getting into a swimming pool or hot tub.

  • A general rule of thumb for jewelry lovers: it should be the last thing put on before leaving the house & the first thing removed when returning home. This will help minimize your jewelry’s contact with perfumes, lotions, and other chemicals.

Natural Stone Care:

  • Do your best at getting to know your pieces & their needs. Ask questions if you’re unsure!

  • Apply lotion, cosmetics, hairspray & perfume before dressing in jewelry.

  • Be careful exposing your gemstones to excessive light & heat because it can affect the durability & color of the stone. Sudden temperature changes may also fracture some gems, so it’s important to be aware of your surroundings when wearing such pieces.

  • Most colored gems can be cleaned with warm water, mild dish soap (no detergents) & a soft brush. Using a new, clean makeup brush & warm, soapy water will also softly clean them.

  • Opals require special care. Never use an ultrasonic, never use chemicals & avoid heat. Don't put your opal ring on the window sill when washing your hands or the dishes as strong sunlight can dry out the water in opals which could cause hazing or color change.

  • Soft stones like lapis, malachite, turquoise, amber and opals can easily be scratched by pin stems, clothing hardware & the edges of other jewelry. Protect pieces with these gemstones by wrapping them in jeweler's tissue & storing separately when not in use.


Repairs

First and foremost, we ONLY offer repairs on Buffalo Bannon jewelry.

We want your jewelry to last & are happy to repair it when need be. Please email us and we’ll send you a repair form that you must print, fill out and mail back with your broken jewelry.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Customers are responsible for the cost of the return shipping label.

  • Jewelry must be mailed back safely. We recommend placing the jewelry in a small box & using a bubble lined mailing envelope. You can purchase both of these items are your local dollar store.

  • Depending on the nature of the repair, additional fees may apply. After we receive the jewelry & assess the damage, we’ll call/email you with the outcome.
