Ethiopian Opal & Pink CZ Necklace
This piece is part of the Sacred Heart Series, inspired by the ornate iron gates, fences, & doorways scattered throughout Tucson.
During my time living in the desert, I was constantly drawn to the curves & symmetry of the old ironwork. Many of those designs echoed the shape of the sacred heart, a symbol long associated with devotion, protection, & deep love. This necklace carries that influence.
Warm Ethiopian opals are scattered along the chain like tiny desert suns, while the center pendant holds a soft pink cubic zirconia framed within a handcrafted sterling silver design reminiscent of the ironwork that first inspired the series.
The result is a piece that feels both delicate & strong, like the desert itself.
This design also carries a personal connection. Sacred Art was the name of our neighborhood tattoo shop in Tucson, a place that became a hub for creativity, friendship, & community during that chapter of my life.
